I have never been able to properly gauge the power levels of the Guardians. I am going to go with the Black Order, I guess.

I don't see how the Guardians can reliably deal with Mawl's TK. Let alone do so while fighting 3 other street levellers, at least on their level.

Agreed. Maw is too much for them, and none of them have the strength to compete with Cull.

Maw arguably solos.

I don't see how this is fair

Cull takes out Drax and Groot, Maw TK's everyone else.

SL is super underrated on this site but he's still street level and the most skilled on his rooster I don't see a win for them.

I love the guardians, but this true......

Depends who's quickest to the draw between Rocket/Star Lord and Maw. If they can shoot Maw Guardians win, if Maw can knock guns out of the Guardian's hands first then Black Order win.

So I honestly think:

• if they start weapons drawn then Guardians win


• otherwise Black Order

...it's that close

For the record for other people commenting: I think Groot, although weaker, is strong and versatile enough to compete with Cull.

I think this is less fair. Youndu can come close to soloing.

Yondu solos.

Adding Star-Lord is overkill.

@aka_aka_aka_ak: I can't picture Yondu soloing. He could potentially have his hands full with Maw in a "tug of war" if you will, with Yondu's arrow and Ebony's TK.

With some knowledge and prep, the Black Order will take this (again). They'll know of Yondu's arrow and Maw will counter it.

Gamora could honestly take Proxima in one-on-one, add in Nebula and they should beat her.

Drax taking on Cull is the most obvious matchup. Drax is at a severe weapon disadvantage though with knives vs Cull’s flail-like weapon that gives him more reach, a longer blade, and longer range by throwing it. Drax would probably lose more often than not but with Mantis you never know if she’ll be able to jump on top of Cull and put him to sleep like she did with Thanos.

I would assume Rocket and Star-Lord try to take on Glaive while Yondu tries to take on Maw. Depending on the gear and weapons they can grab with the two hours of prep, they could neing in the Hadrian Enforcer or some of Rocket’s grenades and set up a kill zone in Knowhefe like Rocket did in the forest on GOTG2. While Glaive was grappling with Vision, reacted to and deflected his beam, and was able to defeat Cap in single combat, Quill could just as easily disarm him of the weapon with the strong magnet he used to incap Tony for a short while. And once bat happens, Rocket and Quill can light him up with their guns, tase him, use his energy bola while Glaive is busy trying to dodge the gunfire. Not to mention they have the mobility advantage because the two of them can fly around.

And then there’s Yondu. His fight with Maw can go two ways: Yondu fires his arrow at his heart, Maw tries to lift some nearby object for a shield and since the arrow was flying through ships, it goes right through Maw’s “shield” and then Maw himself. Or Maw uses TK to break the arrow before Yondu can use it effectively against him. If the first option happens, Yondu then helps the rest of the Guardians defeat their opponents. If the second one happens, Maw proceeds to solo the rest of the Guardians.

But given the two hours of prep, I’m sure the Guardians can think of a game plan to win.

Maw solos, 2 hours isn't enough for the Guardians. He is just a bit too badass.

I actually think this is a fair battle, that would yield interesting results. Gamora and Nebula would realistically have counters for their siblings. Imo, I think the sisters could take Midnight & Glaive in CQC. With the others providing the necessary power output to deal with Cull and Maw. On the flipside, Cull and Maw will be incredibly difficult to deal with.
