This guy is all over the place.

Why didn't they just keep him in his own reality and make the comic about him reclaiming America with baby Hulk?

The thing is, they killed off Logan 616 so they brought OMLogan over to this universe and yeah...

Idk first couple issues were promising and intrigued me, but now it's just like you mentioned.......all over the place.

On one hand I kinda get what you mean, but on the other hand, Awnaw! Hell naw! Man! I love how this series just kinda feels like a fun tour de force that you'd expect from a character like Wolverine. The first arc was "Sin City", the second was a backwoods action horror, the third was a Japanese action thriller, the fourth was a fun monster mash, and now we have alien horror. We get all of that with the added angle of melancholy and weariness while still carrying a strong sense of conviction. IMO (and admittedly this is coming from not the most educated of Wolverine fans) this might go down as one of the best Wolverine runs ever.

That said, I'd still be down for a series about Old Man Logan raising the Hulk baby in the Wastelands after this status quo has run it's course.

It's being presented too fast for my liking. Like episodes of Teen Titans Go for example. Whatever happened in episode 2 is unrelated and not referenced in episode 3. Feels like a bunch of one shots or something. It's not terrible, just....average. I'm not excited about anything, but nothing upsets me either. I'm still reading it however since he's been my favorite Marvel character since I was introduced to comics in the early 90s.

That's not what I'm unhappy about. That stuff is good and fine. I'm more referring to everything else. Like one second he's fighting with Lady Deathstrike against some crazy ass cult and their mutant 'god', now he's in space (maybe this space adventure is something in his head)? How long ago was he running around fighting Dracula? Or was that in another title? (he's all over the place) His personal development and him dealing with his past and being in this new timeline are fine. It's everything else that's poorly written. IMO, of course.

Some people, like you, like the direction this comic is going, I do not. And the whole point of the original story was to make the character act nothing like Wolverine.

Because, if there's something Mark Millar doesnt like to have in his Wolverine stories, it's Wolverine.

And the whole point of the original story was to make the character act nothing like Wolverine.

Because, if there's something Mark Millar doesnt like to have in his Wolverine stories, it's Wolverine.

OLD MAN LOGAN #17

No Caption Provided

(W) Jeff Lemire (A/CA) Andrea Sorrentino

IT'S OLD MAN LOGAN VERSUS A THOUSAND BROOD - WHO DO YOU PUT YOUR MONEY ON?!

• I don't know about you, but I think those Brood are about to learn a lesson or two.

• Meanwhile, the WASTELANDS are about as bad as LOGAN remembers them being...

• ...which is twice as terrible, as Logan distinctly remembers escaping this specific nightmare dystopia. How did he return to the Wastelands? And will he be able to escape a second time?

This guy is all over the place.

Why didn't they just keep him in his own reality and make the comic about him reclaiming America with baby Hulk?

Don't know what's up with all the negativity but I'm enjoying the series it's felt more like Wolverine than Wolverine did right before his death and I've enjoyed reading about this older more unhinged Logan who's struggling with his past and trying to move past it.

My instincts told me when this title started, that this probably wasn't going to be as good as the original title and my instincts so far have been right. However, I love Wolverine, so I'm powering though and keeping hope that it gets better.

@koujimoreno: I see where you're coming from it does genre hop a lot but I guess that's what keeps it fresh we wouldn't want them telling the exact same story would we? Anyway the next arc is a prison one and the one after is time travel which will be Lemire's last arc on the book, Who knows the book might change when the new creative team hops on.

This guy is all over the place.

Why didn't they just keep him in his own reality and make the comic about him reclaiming America with baby Hulk?

Don't know what's up with all the negativity but I'm enjoying the series it's felt more like Wolverine than Wolverine did right before his death and I've enjoyed reading about this older more unhinged Logan who's struggling with his past and trying to move past it.

OLD MAN LOGAN #17

Don't know what's up with all the negativity but I'm enjoying the series it's felt more like Wolverine than Wolverine did right before his death and I've enjoyed reading about this older more unhinged Logan who's struggling with his past and trying to move past it.

@bl00dwerk: Who Lemire? He's leaving this book pretty soon and he even said he wouldn't have had much interest writing Classic Wolverine and likes Old Man Logan since has such a different prospective.

I said it several times: Old Man Logan is not a Wolverine story. It has a main character that doesnt act, talk or even look like Wolverine, ergo, it's not a Wolverine story.

@jota23: I'm sorry, but dude that is a stretch. Like even if your're going by the logic of let's say, Injustice Superman is not Superman, he still kind of is. It's an alternative take. And I feel like certain aspects of the character remain enough to call him as such. But hey, agree to disagree.

Well the stories arent bad its the art effects that makes them confusing the writers know where to touch the artists now are just being over whipped by the editors to make the panels too artsy.

And the whole point of the original story was to make the character act nothing like Wolverine.

Because, if there's something Mark Millar doesnt like to have in his Wolverine stories, it's Wolverine.

Why didn't they just keep him in his own reality and make the comic about him reclaiming America with baby Hulk?

This!

To be one of the best Wolverine runs ever, Wolverine would have to actually be in the book..

@jota23: So would you also consider the original Old Man Logan story to also not be one of the best Wolverine stories ever because "Wolverine isn't actually in it"?

Unless you're just busting my balls here, in which case I don't have a funny a follow up.

Well, when the real Wolverine comes back Marvel knows who to get to write his new solo.

Marvel hasn't known who they should put in his book since Greg Rucka left, in 2004.

Whoever they'd get would only be there for about 12 issues, anyway.

Or it's Paul Cornell, in wich case, we will wish it's only 12 issues.

@jota23: So would you also consider the original Old Man Logan story to also not be one of the best Wolverine stories ever because "Wolverine isn't actually in it"?

Unless you're just busting my balls here, in which case I don't have a funny a follow up.

Why didn't they just keep him in his own reality and make the comic about him reclaiming America with baby Hulk?

This!

The thing is, they killed off Logan 616 so they brought OMLogan over to this universe and yeah...

Idk first couple issues were promising and intrigued me, but now it's just like you mentioned.......all over the place.

Well the stories arent bad its the art effects that makes them confusing the writers know where to touch the artists now are just being over whipped by the editors to make the panels too artsy.

@vincent_valjean: Logan's in space and Star Lord is stuck on Earth... And so goes the upside-down era of Marvel.

Tired of this already and that's a shame, since it was quite good when it started.

And the whole point of the original story was to make the character act nothing like Wolverine.

Because, if there's something Mark Millar doesnt like to have in his Wolverine stories, it's Wolverine.
