Who wins and why

I think this can go either way. But even if Captain Marvel wins, Firelord is going to give him a lot of burns.

My guess is that Billy's going to have better feats, but firelord is a herald, so Ill give it to him. We just havent seen his top tier yet. ;-)

why ?

He is MFTL in travel speed, and so are his cosmic flames. He has busted meteors the size of small planets on panel, and can release power of a small star. He also brought down the Surfer with a single blast before.

Durability wise he had tanked Thor's punches and withstood getting blasted across the solar system.

Firelord is pretty damn powerful, but at times he has been a bit of a glass cannon so I'm giving it to Billy

Using Firelords best feats he wins the majority, but based on consistency Billy

so? Shazam literally broke the barriers of time with his speed.

I'm sure I've seen Billy create black holes with his own punches. Fighting evenly with Black Adam and Superman (Eclipso), among other things. I do not disagree with the result pointed out by you, but I do not think it will be an easy fight - regardless of the outcome.
