Superhero movies don't always make it.

Some were a shame to be cancelled, such as George Miller's Justice League: Mortal. Others...not so much. Here are some superhero movies we're glad never made it to the big screen.

Superman Lives

Seriously, Nic Cage as Superman? Ugh. And it gets worse. The script involved Brainiac and Lex Luthor merging into one being, and all sorts of other messed-up stuff. Sure, it was Tim Burton, but even by his standards this film would have been insane. Let's be glad it never happened.

Batman Unchained

A sequel to Batman & Robin? No thanks. This movie would have involved the Scarecrow and Harley Quinn as the main villains, and feature the return of the past villains of the movies, such as Jack Nicholson's Joker. However, even Nicholson couldn't have saved this movie, which likely would have been an overload of camp like its predecessor.

The Amazing Spider-Man 3

Okay, this is gonna be kind of a rant, but here goes.

This movie would involve Peter Parker discovering a way to use his blood and resurrect people who've died, such as Gwen Stacy, her father, and maybe even Freddie Mercury, because this is Sony we're talking about. That's right, a teenager figures out how to raise the dead.

Apparently, this was gonna involve the Sinister Six, and also feature Gwen turning into the Spider-Gwen character from the comics. That part has me wondering - were the idiots at Sony just playing with action figures while tripping on LSD? Anyway, THANK THE LORD Marvel bought the rights back and we got Homecoming instead.
