How to read and extract pdf content in Angular 6?

0

I want to be able to import a pdf file from local file system. To validate the file, certain content from the pdf has to checked. For this i need to be able to read and extract the content from the pdf file. I am using angular-6 to build the application. I tried using the npm pdf-parse library. But that requires fs to work, which is not supported for browser applications. Any suggestions how this can be done? For csv i am using the simple FileReader to get the headers and content. Is there anything similar to that for pdf?

  • upload it to your backend, and use whatever library you want to parse it there?
