i honestly have no idea but ill keep an eye. i couldnt name 3 feats for either character. though if i remember correctly ive heard Tiin is pretty good

I see Saesee Tiin winning a solid majoirty here.

In terms of their physical feats, Saesee is faster as he was shown creating afterimages of his body and lightsaber, he's also stronger as he pulled a speeder, crushed droids via his elbow, broke rope, carried a human while deflecting blasters etc.
While Luminara is somewhat comparable in this area considering how she threw a wampa and blitzed chameleon droids.

Power is where Saesee is decisively superior. Tiin has been shown Force Pushing droids four kilometers, lifting and tossing large objects and droid parts casually, redirecting rockets amongst other things. Again, Luminara is comparable in this are considering her ability to hold up a cave until Yoda came or her ability at stalemating Ventress in a Force struggle, and Asajj herself was shown powerful enough to collapse stalactites.

Skill is where I am unsure of who is superior. Saesee Tiin has been credited as being one of the most skilled swordsmen of the Order and has fought evenly with Mace Windu, though this was in a sparring match. Luminara doesn't have much accolades, but she does have more valid feats than Saesee, such as holding off Ventress, though this was her only really notable feat. I suppose that Saesee could be superior because of his accolades and ability to match Windu. But since sparring match don't show as much of a character's skill as an actual fight to the death, Tiin's skill advantage is very debetable.

So overall, I'd say Saesee wins 8/10, maybe more. This is mostly due to his superior physical prowess and power.

Sparring matches are about as valid as real fights as an evaluation of skill - at least against Mace Windu. Jedi typically don't hold back on each other when sparring aside from the fact they won't kill or injure each other, which is why onlookers would presume that they're actually trying to slaughter each other. Windu in particular makes a point of it to exploit weaknesses in his sparring partner, and give them criticism where he can, as demonstrated when he picked Vos apart in a sparring match because he was holding back, landing a strike on him to boot. Against Saesee Tiin, he found no such vulnerability, implying that Tiin is at least loosely comparable to Windu. Within a tier of him, anyway, which isn't where I rank Luminara.

Saesee's skill is pretty hard to specifically pinpoint, but his sparring match with Mace is proof that he is somewhat approachable to Mace at least, which isn't exactly what I can say for Luminara considering that she contended with Ventress mostly out of Soresu's defensive properties more than anything else, and she couldn't obtain a decisive dueling victory even with Ahsoka's aid. While I expect Luminara's Soresu mastery to protract the fight, I also expect it to be unable to give her any wins.

Luminara is the Superior Duelist and in force there stalement. Luminara wins in a fairly easy fight

Saesee 10/10 and solidly, although her mastery of Soresu should enable her to last longer than other opponents of similar calibre.

Is this canon? Because Saesee doesn't even pull his lightsaber out in canon, aside from Episode 3, when he's slaughtered. Like a lamb. A helpless lamb. With a baby. And an adopted piglet. With no eyes. The guy doesn't even get a single strike out, which is no better or worse than how Luminara would fare. As far as we know, strictly out of canon feats, Saesee Tinn is only a competent lightsaber out of merit of being a Jedi Master. He has no feats. Luminara fought Asajj Ventress one on one, and technically speaking, she was the better swordsman (Asajj only won through the use of the environment).

Though, if we're talking EU, Legend has it ( ;) ) that the combined force of Mace Windu, Kit Fisto, Saesee Tinn, and Agen Kolar was more powerful than Obi-Wan and Yoda combined. That's according to Obi-Wan, anyhow. I don't believe Luminara had such accolades in the EU.

The description does not really specify what iterations these are, so it's most safe to assume both Legends and Canon showings, provided they aren't contradictory.

If it was just canon, as you say, Luminara should win, although Saesee has a few notable accolades that should ensure he puts up a fight.

Legends and Canon though - Luminara's best feat is stalemating Ventress while disadvantaged. Saesee's is holding his own against Mace Windu to a far greater degree than Ventress did.

Not to mention, Saesee Tiin, according to Dooku, is a possible equal to ROTS Anakin in saber combat, depending on whether you think Saesee is more skilled than Plo Koon, or vice versa. "The boy was a Djem So stylist, and as fine a one as he had seen." In other words, as good as the best he's seen. And seeing how Plo and Saesee were the most prominent Djem So masters at the time, it's either one of them.
