we know Korath worked with Carol in Star Force

so it would stand to reason that he knows what she can do and how strong she is

yet he still thinks Thanos is stronger and before he even has any Infinity Stones

We don't know Carol will be at her peak in her own movie. It takes place in the 90s. I'm sure she grew in power over 20-30 years.

I’m really sick of hearing about her and all this power stuff. Why the hell are they doing this? What kinda broken are we gonna be looking at when we got a moon punching planet pushing hero. Is she gonna one shot Thanos? Should I be alarmed. I really don’t get where they are going with this.

I really would prefer she didn’t shatter the MCUs power scale

what the heck are you guys complaining about? the movie hasn't even come out, yet. you can't take anything these writers or producers say seriously. do you really think that they are going to tell you something like that before it's released? all this whining before the move has come out makes no sense.

I think the quote about Thanos was about overall power, not just strength. i.e. it was factoring in his armies and resources, etc. You might say Trump is one of the most powerful men alive, but no one who says that is talking about his strength.

1.) Korath said Thanos is the most powerful being in the universe, refers to not just Thanos' personal strength, but also his resources and his control over them (His armies for example).

2.) The statement about Captain Marvel being the most powerful is about her being the most powerful superhero shown. Thanos is not a superhero character.

3.) The statement about Captain Marvel being the most powerful is not yet demonstrated. It could be a hyperbole

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I hate the feminist overlord Brie Larson playing captain marvel. Her Twitter are posts literally the worst. And I firmly believe that if she could teleport all of the men in the world to another planet she would do so with great pleasure.

Captain marvel doesn’t deserve to just show up and automatically be the strongest. Other characters honed their powers and worked to be powerful like Thor, scarlet witch, And Doctor Strange.

(Thor has been threw some pretty messed up stuff)

(Wanda has been trained in h2h combat by captain America and black widow, and has been practicing her powers)

(Doctor Strange was trained for a very long time by the ancient one, and worked hard to gain his level of mastery over his powers)

But no she doesn’t need developement or training she is just the “strangest” because she just is. It really ERKS MEEEEEE!!!!

I don’t get why people get so upset about a superhero in the MCU finally being powerful. I think it would be awesome to finally see someone who can do crazy stuff like move planets and not have any real limits to power.

@tparks: I think it's that other powerhouses are way underpowered compared to their comic counterparts, and then we now have a character that is (maybe, possibly) on par with/more powerful than her comic counterpart show up. And then before the movie comes out the hero is stated to be the undisputed strongest, while before, you could debate who was stronger. I understand the frustration.

@rebake: I guess I just don’t get why that matters.

@tparks: personally, my only real concern is execution. It can be pulled off well, but the MCU (according to the producer) has never worked with a hero this strong before. It's new territory for them. That could affect story telling. I'll hold my judgement until I see it, but that's an issue that I think can occur. What do you think?

@rebake: I’m personally excited to finally have a powerful character. Even Thanos was a bit underwhelming besides the snap.

I also hope she can eventually be treated as a superhero, because Marvel really hasn’t made a superhero movie, outside of a few brief glimpses with Spider-Man. Superhero stories are not difficult to write challenges for, no matter how powerful the character is, since they don’t necessarily need to rely on fighting.
