Cant move to other UIViewControllers
While trying to view a video and then proceed to another view controller, I get: Thread 1: Fatal error: Unexpectedly found nil while unwrapping an Optional value while
in the line of code: videoView.layer.addSublayer(playerLayer)
If anyone knows how this could be fixed I would appreciate it. Thanks.
BTW, here is the full function for context:
@IBOutlet weak var videoView: UIView!
var player: AVPlayer!
var playerLayer: AVPlayerLayer!
var isVideoPlaying = false
override func viewDidLoad()
super.viewDidLoad()
let url = URL(string: "https://content.jwplatform.com/manifests/vM7nH0Kl.m3u8")!
player = AVPlayer(url: url)
playerLayer = AVPlayerLayer(player: player)
playerLayer.videoGravity = .resize
videoView.layer.addSublayer(playerLayer)
uiview avfoundation avplayer layer

Are you sure videoView is connected up properly to the uiview in your storyboard?
