0

I'm newbie with datatables and have stuck here. I want to show this records to datatables from web service.

html code:

 <table class="table table-hover display" id="tbl_Account" style="width:100%">
<thead>
<tr>
<th>Id</th>
<th>UserName</th>
<th>DisplayName</th>
<th>Address</th>
<th>ExtensionNumber</th>
<th>Salary</th>
<th>ExtraInfo</th>
</tr>
</thead>
</table>

javascript:

$('#tbl_Account').DataTable(
responsive: true,
processing: true,
serverSide: true,
ajax:
type: "POST",
url: "/WebServices/WSAccount.asmx/getList_Account",
contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8",
dataType: "json",
//data:
//no parameter in web service
,
columns: [
"data": "Id" ,
"data": "UserName" ,
"data": "DisplayName" ,
"data": "Address" ,
"data": "ExtensionNumber" ,
"data": "Salary" ,
"data": "ExtraInfo"
]
);

error:

"Message":"Invalid JSON primitive: draw."

Sorry ablout my bad english. Can anyone help me?

  • It is pretty obvious that you have malformed JSON. Besides that, be aware that your webservice must handle sorting, filtering etc since you are using serverSide: true; contentType and dataType is redundant.
