Can you also provide some arguments as to how nagato wins? Their power sets are very diverse and I think they counter each other very well.

Nothing outside of Chibaku Tensei is going to take Pernida out.

R1: Pernida wins they have nothing on him.

R2: Pernida wins the only move that can do anything to pernida would be CT but he can just use hirenkyoku or his quincy shadow to avoid it. Not that he would be able to use CT before getting one-shotted anyways.

R1: Ashura Path Pain nukes him GG,

Deva Path crush him by dropping a building on him with Bansho Tenin, city buster Shinra Tensei GG, Chibaku Tensei GG.

R2: Nagato replicates what 6 Paths did but better. Gedo Mazo eats Pernida's soul GG.

I really want to know what makes the Gedo soul steal so good. IIRC, the only feat for it is when Nagato stole the souls of a few dozen fodder ninjas with zero soul steal feats.

Other than the one biased Naruto fan post everyone agrees that Nagato can’t do anything here. You would never see someone saying Nagato could beat Pernida on any other forum.

Chibaku Tensei ain’t doing anything. As soon as Nagato gets close to Pernida he’s done. Nagato is severely outclassed here. Anyone that has read both series (that’s not a Naruto wanker) knows this.

Almighty Push + Flight protect Nagato from The Compulsory, and Chibaku Tensei incaps Pernida without having to deal with his regen or cloning.

it depends if pernida and tag nagato with his nerves. if so its gg for nagato. but if nagato somehow evades all of pernidas nerves and keeps hitting him then pernida is gonna be gg.

Pernida blitzes him both rounds, could possibly scale to mimihagi but his fight with Mayuri suggests otherwise.

Still blitzes, and nagato’s only good move would be CT which is OOC, can be destroyed, can be teleported from and he’ll still get blitzed.

If nagato doesen't start with a chibaku tensei, he can't really do much to win this, round 1 is a stomp for perninda.

He has a better chance with numbers in round 1 than in 2 as one body which makes the compulsory a lot easier... His only way which in both rounds he has too win is by using CT immediately too isolate Perninda and stop him from spreading. Which he won’t most likely attempt off the bat. Perninda 8/10 times.
