Even though Goku's power level increases thousands of times, the difference is actually less than in the first part of the series.

-Goku at the beginning of the series was wall level or small building level.

-Goku at the beginning was a Moon Buster.

-Super Saiyan Goku (Namek saga) was Large Planet or Dwarf star level.

In most attack potency charts that I know, the difference between wall/ Small Building level and Moon is greater than between Moon and Large Planet / dwarf star.

@camilopezo: The difference of the Moon, 7.34767309 × 10^22 kilograms, and a small dwarf star with .5 solar mass, 9.945×10^29 kilograms, is 1.353×10^7 or 13,530,000 times.

If we reduce the Moon by that margin again we get 5.4306 × 10^15. This is more than the total carbon stored in coal deposits worldwide. This is smaller than the 1x10^16 kilograms of 951 Gaspra, a 6.5km asteroid.

I wouldn't call Goku wall level at BoZ, as Goku was able to withstand a city destroying blast by Piccolo at the end of Dragon Ball, but you may have meant beginning of Dragon Ball.

However, your overall statement that Wall->Moon is a bigger gap than Moon->Dwarf Star is completely accurate.

Edit:

Just as an aside, taking this into account when thinking about power levels, it isn't that someone who can destroy a moon would need to raise their power level to 13.5 million to destroy a dwarf star, but multiply their power by that much.

When Piccolo used his Explosive Demon Wave to destroy the Moon when Gohan went berserk as an Oozaru, he had a power level of 408, but when using a strong attack, it went up to 1330.

Assuming just for argument that Piccolo was just powerful enough to destroy the Moon, this would mean for him to destroy a dwarf star, he would need a power level between 5.5 billion and 179.9 billion (5,520,240,000 and 179,949,00,000).

Power levels aren't linear.

If not, the farmer would be multicontinental.

Also if it were linear, Piccolo and Krillin would have beaten Nappa.

@camilopezo: Sorry, for some reason I rationalized "BoS" as "Beginning of Super".

Close, but Farmer with Shotgun in the hypothetical would be able to destroy 3.759×10^13 kilograms [(1330 / 5 = 266) (1x10^16 / 266)], which would make him a comet buster, but still obviously off.
