Love OotS. Super hyped to see one of them here in a vs match. Still, I think Cap would kick Roy's butt. Roy is going to be stronger and tougher than Cap with his Belt of Giant Strength and his high level Fighter HP. But, Cap fights people stronger and tougher than he is all the time. All the rest of Roy's major advantages disappear fighting Cap. There's no spell casting to interrupt. There's no undead to initiate the power glow. There's no minions to Cleave off of. Cap is waaaay too hard to hit to reliably Power Attack. Steve isn't an idiot like Thog. Etc. If Cap's shield cancels Roy's sword, Roy is out of offense (no unarmed proficiency and non-lethal damage) but Cap can still peak-human punch and kick to wear Roy down.

All that said, the OotS could be surprisingly powerful opponents for any number of comic characters. I'd take Sir Greenhilt over a good number of Marvel/DC/Image/etc sword fighters or wizards for instance. It's just that Cap is a bad match-up for him.

@gaztacular: Thanks for the feedback! As I said in op, I pitted him against Cap cause he is kind of a benchmark. I had an overal similar feeling, most of Roy's strenghts won't come into play in this fight, but since he has better phisical stats (i think), it wouldn't be a stomp.

Who do you think would be a more even match for Roy or V?

@rukelnikovftw: No problem. After a bit of thought, I think Blade is the best mainstream comic character to go against Roy. They both have superhuman stats, they're both expert swordsmen, and the starmetal sword vs Blade's dhampirism is an interesting wildcard that could be argued both ways. Varsuvius matches up well with the second Dr. Light: flying, arrogant, genius blasters with a lot of added versatility. The Order as a whole totally go against the Guardians of the Galaxy. Roy vs Drax in super-strength blade battle, Haley vs Gamora as roguish leather ladies, Elan vs Starlord with swashbuckling and quips, Durkon vs a Tree, Belkar vs Rocket as short hairy instigators of violence, and V vs Adam Warlock as the inscrutable mystics. I do worry that nobody on this board would really go for an OotS vs or take them seriously as combatants, though.

This made me lol hard.

Aside from that, i think vs guardians of the galaxy Movie version could be viable, otherwise its probably a stomp, even with soul spliced V, since Adam will probably have the soul gem.

Durkon vs a Tree

This made me lol hard.

Aside from that, i think vs guardians of the galaxy Movie version could be viable, otherwise its probably a stomp, even with soul spliced V, since Adam will probably have the soul gem.
