we all know how hyped up AoT was people made it out to be the Game of Thrones of Anime but now that season 3 is here there doesn't seem to be any hype or excitement which is weird cause Season 2 is generally regarded as being just as good if not better the Season 1 yet it seems to have dropped off the map

They took way too long, people have already caught up with the manga. Even I, who don't like reading manga in general, was forced to follow the manga instead of waiting years just to get 12 freaking episodes. The story was just too compelling that I physically couldn't wait that long.

I wonder if the same thing will happen with One Punch Man. It's still a eight or nine months away, I think.

It’s an excellent series, in my top 5 manga of all time. The anime was just way too slow.

I think people are still quite hyped about it. Sure, there was a 4-year gap between seasons 1 and 2 unlike most anime, this one was definitely not forgotten. One of the few anime that could pull that off. I'll admit I wasn't so crazy about it at first but it got better over time and imo, S3 is its best so far.

Bad series so low ratings

Season 3 is backstory heavy and barely has titans so hype for it is less than season 2 .

I read the manga and it's very satisfying, I stopped caring about the anime...

It was never good to begin with.

Coming from someone who loved the first season, like others here have said they took too long and as a result interest dropped. It left a vacuum and other shows took its place. I have yet to even start the second season personally. I mean, it's there and I'll think to myself,"I really should start watching it again, that show is really good, but the next MHA(or any other show I watch really) episode is out! I'll just start it later..."

That and if I'm being honest I really don't care for Eren as a protagonist, I feel the other characters in the show are much more interesting and I must admit that does play a factor in it. He just doesn't do a whole lot outside of his titan form(which is epic don't get me wrong). Idk maybe that changes later on but even the first time watching the first season I didn't expect him to job so much.

That last part may seem off topic but it sort of isn't because it's a legitimate reason I stopped watching, not the biggest reason but it did contribute.
