What can cause wmi quota violation?

0

I am using wbemtest to connect to a remote system to run a semi-synchronous wql query

Select * from win32_ntlogevent

When I specify the Batch count for enumeration to 1000, the query runs fine.
But when the batch count is 1, the query returns Quota Violation (WMI Error: 0x8004106C) before completing.

What could be causing this issue?

I don't think it is the memory quota that is getting violated, as I find the memory of the WmiPrvSE.exe to be well below the quota.
