Not able to integrate secured actuator endpoint (actuator/jolokia) with hawtio

0

I am trying to get an understanding of jolokia and hawtio with spring-boot v2.

So far,

  1. I have been able to expose jolokia as an actuator endpoint. (Secured by default).

  2. Run hawtio locally.

  3. Everytime I try to connect my application with hawtio, it redirects me to a login page of hawtio. I try the credentials which would allow access to jolokia endpoint, but it says forbidden.

  4. Finally I made /actuator/jolokia** endpoint as non-secured and then only was able to connect my sample app with hawtio successfully.

Code intercept from security configuration.

.antMatchers("/actuator", "/actuator/jolokia", "/actuator/jolokia/**").permitAll()

My intention is to keep these endpoints (jolokia) secure.
Has anyone experienced this issue while integrating with hawtio and springboot?

Note: I am running hawtio as a standalone jar.

java -Dhawtio.authenticationEnabled=false -jar hawtio-app-1.5.8.jar --port 8090
