You have been selected for Her Majesty’s Secret Service for espionage activities primarily overseas with the above top secret ranking of 00 (Double O). You will follow directives given to you by section commander codenamed M, though you will have autonomy to follow your own leads as each mission progresses.

You have been granted a license to kill, but by no means does this mean carte blanche murder, you will have to justify any lives taken and if need be you will be held accountable by both British and International laws if you abuse this privilege.

You will be outfitted on missions with weapons from Q Branch. These weapons are the property of not only Her Majesty but the British tax payer, not your own personal property.

Members of the 00 are among the best secret agents in the world and you are to up hold that standard.

You will report to M in morning for your assignment.

Spies, espionage, sex, hand to hand combat, exotic locales, elaborate death traps, innuendo laden girl’s names, interesting gadgets, card games, gun fights, car chases and alcohol.

If you wish to join this group universe, it is very simple.

2) Once I’ve said yes, you will be assigned/allowed to choose a 00 number. We are starting from 0014 up to 0044. Why that high, well 001-0013 have been taken already by actual 00 agents from the books and movies. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Bond

3) Stories are to be titled as Bondverse: then the name of your character or the name of the story arc eg:

Bondverse: The Pakistan Affair Pt 1 or Bondverse: 0047 in Never Say Tomorrow Skyfall Dies #1 or

Bondverse: Keith, Harvey Keith 0047 #1 if you get what I mean.

I will be writing as M, which is Judi Dench’s version. She will send you on your first assignments to random places on the globe. From that starting point is where you take your story. The universe’s year is 2015 which is also the last time a Bond film came out.

Q is Desmond Llewelyn’s version of the character though he has a helper called R which is Ben Whishaw (who plays Q in the Daniel Craig Bond’s) as he’s the tech/cyber genius and eventual replacement of Q.

Your character can be male or female. Of any ethnicity you choose, but they have to be a British/UK citizen which is one of the rules of joining the British Secret Service. https://www.sis.gov.uk/

Also, no teen spy prodigies, I’m happy with an 18yr old agent, or 22 or even 39 but if you want Spy Kids or Agent Cody Banks, then you’re in the wrong group.

SPECTRE is the main bad guy organisation with Ernst Stavro Blofeld as it’s leader. QUANTUM is a lesser offshoot/breakaway group led by Dominic Green. Feel free to use any villain you like and even any James Bond plot, we're starting afresh.

James Bond exists but he has his own mission, doing his own thing. If you REALLY need him, then we’ll see what we can do, otherwise it’s all about YOUR agent attempting to Die Another Day or seeing if Diamonds are actually Forever!

I look forward to writing with you as CV has been a little bereft of an active group for a while. Once there is some interest we’ll be off. If, like does happens sometimes, this falls flat and doesn’t resonate, well I’ll make it my next CCC contest or go solo.
