Where’s the option for Storm to only appear in the Black Panther films and not become an X-men at all?

I think it would be cool for her to be team leader eventually. I would start with Cyclops as the leader and then as the story progresses have Storm take the lead somewhere down the line.

@DevilMayehm666: They have been, and continue to push the heck out of BP. Anything they can do to increase his popularity they will try to accomplish. Such as using the popularity of Storm to boost him.

It would be cool to see her go through a character arc like she did in the 80s comics, but I doubt we'll get to see it. Because I don't see them casting Cyclops, just to write him out and hand leadership over to Storm.

No. I rather NOT See Storm as Leader....not YET anyway. Keep it old school let Scott be leader then gradually show Storm taking the mantle.

I have a feeling that the team is going to be led by a gender swapped and/or ethnicity swapped Charles Xavier.

I also feel the real point X-films need to establish is not whether Storm should be leader or not, (Because Halle led the X-Men for awhile.) But can they do Storm justice? Can they make her leader-worthy on the film first? THEN we can decide who should lead. But the goal is to have Storm and Cyclops co-lead like Cap and iron man with the Avengers. Both bring something equally good to the table. But first establish them both right this time round.

Cyclops needs a redemption in the movies as a character, so def him as the new leader. They did him dirty in the original trilogy

I would be happy if Cyclops and Storm were co-leaders.

Hopefully all the X-men get a overhaul and Storm and Cyclops can co-lead.

One of the distictions of the X-Men over other superhero teams like the Avengers is their diversity and strong female characters.

I would like to see a team lead by Storm with a lineup that takes cues from the 90s animated series. Storm, Rogue, Gambit, Beast, Wolverine and Jubilee. I think it could satisfy fans of Storm led 80s comics and TAS, and would provide something new and fresh.

It would be a nice surprise... but it's not going to happen, if Cyke is there it's going to be him because he leads in the comics, and chances are good that if Logan is there, then he will lead because movies have a soft spot for him.
