Thor never shows up in Wakanda when the Avengers start getting overwhelmed by Thanos' army, instead Banner Hulk's out in the most dramatic way possible then leaps into battle. He has to single handedly clear the majority of the Outriders and also prevent their escape, can he save the day?

Bonus: Hulk with new Uru gladiator armor and gear rematches Thanos. He attacks by surprise before Thanos can get to Vision and Hulk is bloodlusted.

R1: He lacks the massive AOE and long range attacks of Thor. So yeah, Hulk could eventually clear it, but he probably will take some injuries on the way (like he did against the Chitauri) and the Wakandan forces will suffer much heavier losses. And Thanos' snap is made way easier.

R2: Does he get a full body suit and enchanted weapons? Actually, Thanos had 5 stones by this point so unless Hulk has a Stormbreaker level weapon and decapitates Thanos in the first swing he still gets wrecked

@thetruthiii: Hulk has his thunderclap and stomp that would be much stronger than they were before? Which raises the question of why does the MCU hate Hulk so much that they won't even allow him to pull off even one classic move for damn near a decade.

Yes he has "Thanos killing" enhancements. And the gladiator armor he had in Ragnarok.

According to Ragnarok the weapons were merely a conduit for Thor's power. So Hulk with his weapon still won't have lightning, but I guess he can cut through an IG beam? Bloodlusted Hulk is more likely to just drop the weapon and throw a wild haymaker though. So again, unless he lands a one-hit KO on the very first shot, Hulk gets stomped. He's slower than Thor, already determined to be physically weaker than Thanos, and is outskilled on every level to the point that even if Thanos didn't have his gauntlet he could likely disarm Hulk and use the weapon against him.

Prevailing theory is that he'll get a boost in A4.

Hulk simply isn't as good a fodder wrecker as Thor

Hulk can take the outriders. It'll just take a long time. He probably won't be blowing up the dropships like Thor was doing due to the lack of flight and AoE.

As far as Uru goes, Hulk doesn't have any godly powers to channel. So his usage of uru equipment would be similar to when Vision used Mjolnir.

He is not beating Thanos but I think he could eventually clear out the Outriders. I don't think they have the ability to KO him or pierce his skin, so he would win after a long, long while. Not having flight, powerful AOE, and ranged attacks like lightning really limits him to just punching them. Thunderclap and pounding the ground to make it shoot up isn't that good here. Being able to jump high should help some though, he can escape any dogpiles easily.

Sad how far Hulk has fallen. MCU better really bring it with Hulk in the next movie.

Hulkbuster sucks, it can be ripped apart easily. It relies on repairs to be effective. Hulk can't be damaged so easily.

I don't see anyone other than thanos stopping the hulk. However I also don't think hulk would impact the battle the way Thor did.

Clears the outriders easily but takes longer. Doesn't keep them from escaping due to lack of flight but might take 1 down if he catches it before it takes off. Loses to thanos

@jayc1324: For one, cap, banner, and others would all be dead; hulk simply isn’t fast enough to save them. Second, the hulk buster may not be nearly as durable as the hulk, but it is nearly as strong, and it still was overwhelmed easily

Hulk gets stomped by the Outriders. A handful of them knocked down and were overwhelming the suit Tony made to fight him.

Or he gets beaten down by Cull. That'd be brutal as hell to watch Cull giving him the Thanos treatment. And whatever his equipment is, he gets thrown aside by Thanos.

He can't do anything Thor did.

The Hulkbuster is on the same tier as the Hulk, and he couldn't do anything to prevent their srmy from getting killed. There's no 2 ways around this, the Hulk can't do anything in Thor's position. IW established him as below most high tier heroes, and it makes sense considering he's nothing but stats.

Only loses to thanos, rest get all killed.

The Russo's said that capatian America was supposed to make a triumphant entrance in wakanda in their early plans. I'm really curious how that would have played out.

@anthp2000: I advise you rewatch Avengers 2... Outriders can't swarm or pierce Hulk like they did the Hulkbuster... Hulkbuster needed constant repairs in order to fight Hulk and would have lost if not for Hulk calming and letting his guard down for a brief second.

@geraltsopinion: they said that he would still save Vision from Corvus Glaive, we just wouldn't see him during the first half of the movie.
