The reason is simply because if you keep his metallic wings, it's going to take more time to finish drawing it. Even in Uncanny XForce, his wings were drawn narrowly and we barely see his metallic wings drawn as wide as in the 90s. Now that they've put back his original angel wings, it still needed more details. Could also be the reason why Mimic is no very rarely used as well. And that is why teen Angel's wings was changed into cosmic (black vortex) wings to make it easier to draw his wings.
What do you think of my opinion fellow X-men fans?

It is a stretch. If they wanted to get rid of drawing the wings they could come up with some asspull explanation of Warren having a recessive gene or something allowing him to retract.
I think he’s not popular because his powers are boring.

Well, for one reason, he's not very popular. And for another his powers aren't very impressive. The reason he was given the archangel upgrade was that his only superhuman ability was flying, which is a pretty common power for superheroes. It's usually an Auxiliary power at best. Even after the archangel upgrade, the problem still exists to some extent, so the only way to make him more interesting was to put more turmoil in his character.

I'd say writers aren't just creative. Archangel should be able to form a metallic ball to cover himself and his teammates from enemy blast/attacks. His metallic wings should be able to absorb energy blasts. We should have seen Archangel slicing sentinels or even buildings and mountains. And my ultimate idea of Archangel's powers would be about enemies from outer space on their way to shoot powerful blasts to destroy the Earth. To protect the Earth, Archangel screams as his wings started to stretch and stretch until it cover the whole planet.
Aside from that, he can use his fighting skills while on the sky, diving like falcons, moving swiftly in different directions like a hummingbird.
He is a billionaire. So much things to explore about this rich guy, his personality and his relationship with his father and Psylocke.
He's pretty useful and interesting to me.

I'm with you all the way (except for that wings across the world thing, sounds like an anime ending)
I'm wondering if he'll still be attracted to Psylocke now that she's recreated her old self or if their connection is more than skin deep since they've both been manipulated inside and out, over and over.
As far as skipping detail on the wings...eh, for me they're easier to draw than the figures themselves so I don't think that's the case. There are plenty of artists that cut corners, though *cough* Land *cough* but McGuinness I believe came up with the wings to match his skull-masked cosmic design not necessarily to skimp on line work.

In my opinion, Angel like Iceman hasn’t aged particularly well over the decades. I mean sure he was fine when he came out in the 60s, but they’ve had a difficult time reworking him for the modern era.
Could he become relevant again? Sure, but they would have to do some serious character building to do it, and so far I haven’t seen any current writer willing to do the heavy lifting to do so. It’s all quick fixes.
Evil Angel with death wings. Or sort of cosmic Angel with flame wings. Regardless, nothing special came of those changes, just a slightly different flavor status quo.

Considering the wings and Celestial upgrades (external amps) in general is the what actually made him somewhat powerful, making him Omega Level Mutant by himself makes zero sense.
Everything else, besides endlessly expanding anime esque wings tho, absolutely on point :)

It is a stretch. If they wanted to get rid of drawing the wings they could come up with some asspull explanation of Warren having a recessive gene or something allowing him to retract.
I think he’s not popular because his powers are boring.

@lil_remains: he was one of my faves before because he always looked cool with the metallic wings especially when drawn well like these.

There's nothing wrong with it. It is an awesome display of what his metallic wings can do, and with that feat, Marvel officially declares him an omega-level mutant. :)

Considering the wings and Celestial upgrades (external amps) in general is the what actually made him somewhat powerful, making him Omega Level Mutant by himself makes zero sense.
Everything else, besides endlessly expanding anime esque wings tho, absolutely on point :)

To protect the Earth, Archangel screams as his wings started to stretch and stretch until it cover the whole planet.
I'm with you all the way (except for that wings across the world thing, sounds like an anime ending)
Yeah Jhazz, what the hell is that, lol
There's nothing wrong with it. It is an awesome display of what his metallic wings can do, and with that feat, Marvel officially declares him an omega-level mutant. :)
Considering the wings and Celestial upgrades (external amps) in general is the what actually made him somewhat powerful, making him Omega Level Mutant by himself makes zero sense.
Everything else, besides endlessly expanding anime esque wings tho, absolutely on point :)

It's not zero sense. It's the evolution of his power.

This is the schema for the table I am trying to query CREATE TABLE "ACTIVITY_LIST_TBL" ( `_ID` INTEGER NOT NULL, `ACT_NAME` VARCHAR NOT NULL, `ACT_CODE` VARCHAR, `IS_ACTIVE` INTEGER DEFAULT -1, PRIMARY KEY(`_ID`) ) Below is the activity that creates the sqlite helper and then on a button click I execute a query on the ACTIVITY_LIST_TBL. When the query is executed this exception is thrown: android.database.sqlite.SQLiteException: no such table: ACTIVITY_LIST_TBL (code 1 SQLITE_ERROR): , while compiling: SELECT * FROM ACTIVITY_LIST_TBL class CalendarActivity : AppCompatActivity() { private var cursor:Cursor? = null override fun onCreate(savedInstanceState:Bundle?) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState) setContentView(R.layout.calendar_activity...
