As of recent times it feels like Darkseid is not getting the attention he once had. Its like hes rarely ever used or even mentioned anymore.

I think recently, he was beat by some weird power of friendship Wonder Woman pulled off to save her family.

Well... he's being used more now than ever. The New 52 centered him as the big bad, Earth-2 was written almost entirely in his shadows. Then we skipped forwards to Darkseid War, which then lead to Babyseid and an extended presence in Wonder Woman and will how be a recurring character in Justice League Odyssey.

So I dont know where this notion of him loosing anything came from?

It's sad that some people will think he's a rip off of Thanos now

If he's ever used in the movies, people will compare him to Thanos and lambast him for being an inferior carbon copy.

@dirtytree333: nah make darkseid smaller, maybe even just utilize an actor in practical makeup, and just give him his comic book motivations and personality. Marvel may have done the DC fandom a favor by giving us the MCU version of Thanos (who isn't like his comic book version) but only time will tell.

I think he’s overused if anything, kind of like thanos. These types of bug bads should be used sparingly, when you use them too often their threat level gets watered down. Unless we see a darkseid solo run showcasing why he is such a threat and such a badass, which is something I could buy into

They could do like Nolan did and as you say cast someone of Cavill's size and just beef him up with clever camera angles and such. Also this wouldn't really break anything since it's only with the New 52 and onward Darkseid has consistently been depicted as the size of an industrial fridge.

That said... they kinda dug a hole for themselves by making Steppenwolf so big, since Darkseid is supposed to be the only other thing Steppenwolf fears, so him being terrified of something half his own size would seem rather out of place.

I don't think he's unpopular right now we're seeing him alot
