So there is a section on this website for Dragon Ball Universe and it's one of the more popular boards right now where people talk about all stuff dragon ball z. We've always had a place to talk about the Marvel Universe and the DC Universe. Can we get a wiki page for the Star Wars Universe? Cause there are movies, books, tv shows, and a ton of comics. As well as various other things related to star wars to discuss but there is not broad star wars section where all things related to it can go. Considering how popular the X-Men section is cause there is so many different X-Men things to talk about I think it would turn out that a Star Wars section would end up being just as popular since there is just as if not more star wars things to talk about especially now that Disney really has the ball rolling. I would suggest making the wiki page for it similar to the way the Dragon Ball Universe page is set up so we can get ourselves a nice forum section and also start adding all the star wars related content in one nice place like the way you can go to the avengers page and see all the avengers related stuff or how you can go to the star trek page and see all the star trek related stuff. I could probably make a decent wiki draft in this thread later on for approval.

Star Wars Universe
(Concept)
The shared universe where the Star Wars movies and it's spin off content takes place.
Setting
The Star Wars Universe is set "long ago in a galaxy far far away." Though the Star Wars universe is set in a distant past the level of technology present in the Star Wars Galaxy is far beyond anything in the current day. It features a large verity of different cultures and alien spices as well as intelligent machines known as droids. Space travel is very common and governments span across entire space systems. In addition to it's scifi components there is also a heavy mystical element in Star Wars know as "The Force" which connects all living things and grants certain gifted individuals a large variety of special powers. Stories in the universe range over the course of hundreds of years.
Continuity
October 30, 2012 Disney bought out the rights to Star Wars and established an all new universe for Star Wars. All content that came out before Disney's acquisition of Star Wars are no longer considered part of the new continuity with the only exceptions being the movies(Episodes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6) and the TV show Star Wars: The Clone Wars. All content to come out after Disney's acquisition is part of the new Star Wars universe. All off the previous continuity content is labeled as "Star Wars Legends."

@teerack: @fesak: @xwraith: @jloneblackheart: This has been made. We can start putting threads in an official Star Wars forum. My biggest concern is that users may go crazy outlining stuff that is no longer accepted as canon. Should there be a separate page for the "alternate" universe?

@renchamp: Non-canon material is still under the umbrella I'd say. It needs to be clearly separated on the page.
I'll monitor the page closely, but I wouldn't be able to tell you what's canon and what isn't. But I can help with formatting.

@jloneblackheart: In that case, I'll just make a separation between the two. And I figure that the Legends stuff can get a deeper focus since some of it is addressed in comics.

@jloneblackheart: Is it okay if I add the stuff i put up top on the page? Then we can just have a section on the page for Cannon and for Legends before that general stuff. Also how about changing the banner background picture to this?

Here is what I was thinking about adding to the page would this be okay? :o (also don't post this for me... my wiki points!!!!! :P)
Dates in the Universe are measures using the Galactic Standard Calendar(Maybe make a page for the calendar to link to from here?).
Canon
This section is to objectively outline the main continuity of the Star Wars Universe.
Legends
This section is to objectively outline the continuity that has been discarded upon the rights being purchased by Disney.
Before the Republic (37,000 – 25,000 BBY)
Old Republic era (25,000 – 1000 BBY)
Rise of the Empire era (1000 – 0 BBY)
Rebellion era (0 – 5 ABY)
New Republic era (5 – 25 ABY)
New Jedi Order era (25 – 37 ABY)

@teerack: @fesak: @xwraith: @jloneblackheart: This has been made. We can start putting threads in an official Star Wars forum. My biggest concern is that users may go crazy outlining stuff that is no longer accepted as canon. Should there be a separate page for the "alternate" universe?

@teerack: @fesak: @xwraith: @jloneblackheart: This has been made. We can start putting threads in an official Star Wars forum. My biggest concern is that users may go crazy outlining stuff that is no longer accepted as canon. Should there be a separate page for the "alternate" universe?

@renchamp: I think that might be a good idea personally. A page for the Canon Universe, and another for the Legends Universe.

Dates in the Universe are measures using the Galactic Standard Calendar(Maybe make a page for the calendar to link to from here?).
Canon
This section is to objectively outline the main continuity of the Star Wars Universe.
Legends
This section is to objectively outline the continuity that has been discarded upon the rights being purchased by Disney.
Before the Republic (37,000 – 25,000 BBY)
Old Republic era (25,000 – 1000 BBY)
Rise of the Empire era (1000 – 0 BBY)
Rebellion era (0 – 5 ABY)
New Republic era (5 – 25 ABY)
New Jedi Order era (25 – 37 ABY)
Legacy era (37 ABY—)

Dates in the Universe are measures using the Galactic Standard Calendar(Maybe make a page for the calendar to link to from here?).
Canon
This section is to objectively outline the main continuity of the Star Wars Universe.
Legends
This section is to objectively outline the continuity that has been discarded upon the rights being purchased by Disney.
Before the Republic (37,000 – 25,000 BBY)
Old Republic era (25,000 – 1000 BBY)
Rise of the Empire era (1000 – 0 BBY)
Rebellion era (0 – 5 ABY)
New Republic era (5 – 25 ABY)
New Jedi Order era (25 – 37 ABY)
Legacy era (37 ABY—)
