Literally the most powerful people in Class 1-A (including the teacher) are the only ones capable of not getting one shotted by Grievous and the only ones capable of even combating him. That makes what was originally a 21 vs 1 into a 6 vs 1 because 15 of them are useless or get killed too quick to make a difference.

Belly button laser? Deflected into head shot via lightsaber. Electricity? Deflected back via lightsaber Mace vs Palp style. Agility and a tail? Cut off by a lightsaber. Invisibility? Accidentally cut by a lightsaber. Hardening? Not hard enough, lightsaber. Animal affinity? Animal cruelty via lightsaber.

Materialization? Ear jacks? Elbow tape? Sticky head balls? Anti-Gravity? Acid? Frog? Sugar high? = Lightsaber.

They all get one shotted.

The ones who don't die have some form of super speed or a defense that allows them to compete against people with super speed. Tenya, Izuku and Shoto have fought and kind of beat Stain, who's speed and skill seem similar to Grievous so they might not die instantly. Katsuki and Fumikage both fought Moonfish who was able to keep up with Katsuki's explosion based mobility while keeping pressure on Shoto but was ultimately stomped by an out of control Dark Shadow. Mr Aizawa was able to dodge an explosion from Dabi at point blank range and stomp multiple villains at once as well as keeping up with the students, his skill and ability to fight almost anyone makes him the most formidable here .... However they too all die.....by being slower than Grievous, less skilled or just overall unable to compensate for his lightsabers.

Grievous succeeds and hunts them all down.

Grievous thrives in this kind of scenario, as none of them are fast enough to chase him down or avoid his attacks.

Lol if Grievous can clown these children what maniac thought putting them up against the Dragonborn was a good idea? Maybe we should try Batman next.
