That said, he did briefly learn magic and you can see him use it to fight Nightmare in Doctor Strange (1968) #182 , but I don't remember him using the Crimson Bands specifically. He gave up his sorcery powers straight away though; he didn't use them at all in his next appearance in Amazing Adventures (1970) #16 and as revealed in his appearance directly after that in The Incredible Hulk (1968) #172 he gave them up completely as part of a deal with Oblivion to get rid of him from Oblivion's realm and return him to Earth-616.

@pipxeroth: Would you like to see a future avatar of Cyttorak who does use spells? Maybe those Cyttorak spells would be even more powerful in the hands of someone who has the gem and then you'd have a real monster of a villain.

@gorochu44: Someone with the gem? Not particularly. I really like bricks and am borderline obsessed with super durable characters so I much prefer Cyttorak's avatars to stay as the embodiments of raw, unstoppable force than anything else. Though I think it would be pretty cool to see a new sorcerer who is basically a prophet of Cyttorak.
