just curious. can we use characters from books against DBZ chars in battles?

i'm talking about novels though, not comics. is that allowed?

I don't think they are since the rules explicitly state that DB can only go against characters that originate in anime/manga.

They can go against eastern novels but not western

using dbz characters vs the anime versions of comic characters is also a no go. already been tried.

I just assumed that the entire existence of Chinese literature wasn't taken into account. and you would be fine if you didn't try to troll or create a flame war.

Dragonball is an anime yes, but it's an animated wuxia, it's kind of silly not to be able to put them up against characters from the closest related source.

Mods tend to let the niche groups be as long as everything is civil and in good will.

That and there is an increasing number of manga popping up using wuxia (I am using the old definition not the one split up in subgenre's) as the source.
