Was showing my son how to use colours instead of just blanket colouring sections, taking account of lighting and building up shadows gradually. Turned out ok.

As I was showing my boy, I pulled up a pic of Master Chief and he though he was green, but I use the pipette to show him what colours different parts of the pic really were and it was full of browns and purples, so I told him to look for the real colours and take his time to build up the colours and not just colour everything with solid colors. It can take a while to get it right and it's slow progress, but it can turn out well.

@galactic_1000: You can only try. I have to mix some colours because I didn't have them, but just use a second sheet to practice colours on. Sometimes getting the pencil less sharp helps too, depending on what you plan to do with it.

@galactic_1000: You can only try. I have to mix some colours because I didn't have them, but just use a second sheet to practice colours on. Sometimes getting the pencil less sharp helps too, depending on what you plan to do with it.

It can take a while to get it right and it's slow progress, but it can turn out well.
