I have recently been reading into star wars legends and noticed many contradictions and would like to know if theres anyway to reconcile these contradicting sources.

One inconsistency I found is between the 2003 clone wars TV series and a labyrinth of evil. In the 2003 clone wars TV series it showcases mace windu force crushing general grievous' chest prior to the space battle over coruscant. The no such even occurs in the novel Labyrinth Of Evil, which served as a prequel to rots and depicted the same events surrounding palpatines capture.(I'm aware that the 2003 series came out before labyrinth but I want to know if the difference in events depicted by the two sources can some how fit into a single continuity)

Another inconsistency I found was between the the 2008 star wars the clone wars TV series, and the novel Dark Lord:The Rise Of Darth Vader. In the clone wars TV series it is explained that the clones have chips inside them that, upon activation force them to kill the jedi. It shows that the clones have no way in whether they want to kill the jedi or not. In Dark Lord: The Rise Of Darth Vader, a squad of clone troopers deliberately disobey order 66 because they thought it was unreasonable. Shouldn't they be incapable of doing so considering the chips?(I'm aware that dark lord came out before the clone wars but I'm wondering if the inconsistency can actually be explained)

So I ask a star wars legends expert to explain to me if there are any ways to reconcile these inconsistencies. Is there any explanation to these inconsistencies, and a way that the events depicted in the sources could fall into a single continuity, or are they just inconsistencies?

@hellothere111: The first one is just an inconsistency. I’ll have to read LoE again to make sure.

The second one is due to the 2008 CW series basically going through and retelling events in the Clone Wars. That was never meant to mesh with the older Legends material, which is one of the reasons that made the switch between Canon and Legends.

@thevivas: I see. So basically both are just inconsistencies that can't be reconciled to fit into a single continuity
