Fusion, baby!
Any of ya'll think "Rex Strickland" think he's going to be a relatively permanent part of Eddie and the symbiote's consciousness from now on? Seems to be an interesting take on the character.

This book has actually done some good things for the symbiote mythos, especially after the Klyntar travesty. I doubt Rex will be a permanent addition to the character (I wager that he may be a member of the future supporting cast), but I'm not so sure about the new powers. It will depend whether or not they plan on making Venom a spider-man enemy again. So far I'm actually interested in what Cates is doing. As outlandish as his stuff may be, he is developing both Eddie's and the Symbiote's character fairly well, and that's without mentioning that Cates, unlike Bendis, is actually successfully integrating Venom's deeper origin into the Marvel universe.

Well said. All though I am sure even if venom keeps his new powers at the end of the run it will be ignored in future runs.

Yeah, most likely it'll be forgotten. Plus, it could be temporary anyways, seeing as how the reason Venom got these powers in the first place was because of the eldritch symbiote Grendel, who will likely be killed in this or some future arc.

Yeah, most likely it'll be forgotten. Plus, it could be temporary anyways, seeing as how the reason Venom got these powers in the first place was because of the eldritch symbiote Grendel, who will likely be killed in this or some future arc.
