Primal Monitor.

As powerful as source is, Lucifer completely ignored him. (talking about the picture above)

PM is the canvas what's drawn on it (source) is all part of him. Presence can create creations on the empty space, writers can drawn and write on it. But primal monitar is infinite, never to be filled.

There's no reason he isn't. The Overmonitor was introduced long after he was and nothing suggests the Presence didn't create him and the Source is actually a bit of a chump from what I know.

He did state there were more powerful beings than him but I think it's assumed he was talking about the writers.

The Source takes this, no question. The Primal Monitor seems to be a manifestation of the Source:

https://m.imgur.com/a/9AJMl

In the concept map, it is stated by Mr. Morrison that the Source is the white page. In the final map, the Source is represented by the white page.

Also in the final map, the Overvoid is represented by a hooded man reading/observing/writing a book. This gives us an indication as to the nature of the Primal Monitor.

It looks like the Primal Monitor is just another incarnation of the Source itself.

@scathanapproves: My basis is that the Overmonitor despite being massively larger, had difficulty controlling creation due to it's (Creation's) inherent power, hence why it's probe, was corrupted and separate into segments. Thus I would say people who control the entirety of creation's inherent power (The Presence who created Creation, and anyone with the Creation Equation like Max Faraday attained) would be stronger. Elaine Belloc might be able to if she was more experienced. Since GEB = Original Presence/Pre-Fused Presence, I would also say it is capable of doing so.

I will do a bit of a 180 on my last post and confirm that the Overvoid and the Source are one and the same. In the Map of the Multiverse, the white space within which the Multiverse exists is referred to as both the "Overvoid" and the "Source". In the concept, the Source is said to be the White Page.

In his interview with IGN (Inside the Mind of Grant Morrison), Morrison refers to the Overvoid as the White Page. He also stayed that the Overvoid is the same as the Source, twice. One of those times, he specifically refers to the Overvoid as "Kirby's Source".

In "Jack Kirby's Fourth World", it is shown that the Source/Overvoid didn't always exist and was preceded by blackness. The Source/Overvoid was "born" from this blackness. The Source/Overvoid was also portrayed as a white space in the form of a circle/sphere. It was also said to be "Eternal, That Which Is All and Beyond The All", which is pretty much the same as Morrison's Overvoid.

It is not known if the Source/Overvoid was created. In Kirby's Fourth World, it is implied that the blackness spontaneously spewed forth energies that formed the Source without the need of a Creator. Other works, such as Green Lantern/New Gods:Godhead, show that a Creator introduced the energies required to turn the black void into the Source.

Morrison still referred to the Overvoid as Kirby's Source, so the meta applies to Kirby's version as well. The beginning of Green Lantern/New Gods: Godhead seems to suggest that the blackness came before the white page.

The blackness that preceded the Source/Overvoid is supposed to represent nothingness. From a meta perspective, it is when the white page is still a tree. The materials that form the white page are there, but they require the hands of a Creator (humans) in order to become the white page. In real life, humans create the white page, so it makes sense that there should be a representation of this in the meta-concepts of DCU.

The black nothingness also represents the time when the idea of the Multiverse did not exist. Both the Overvoid/Source and the DC Multiverse are ultimately concepts created by the writers - the nothingness represents the time when both concepts did not exist in the minds of writers.

The Overvoid. The Source is a mere aspect of the Presence, and there are maybe 3 figures in the DC World that would beat Overmonitor (Presence, Max Faraday with Creation Equation, Great Evil Beast)

There's no reason he isn't. The Overmonitor was introduced long after he was and nothing suggests the Presence didn't create him and the Source is actually a bit of a chump from what I know.

He did state there were more powerful beings than him but I think it's assumed he was talking about the writers.

@nickzambuto: The Over-Monitor is more of a conceptual being rather than a sentient live form.

The Overvoid. The Source is a mere aspect of the Presence, and there are maybe 3 figures in the DC World that would beat Overmonitor (Presence, Max Faraday with Creation Equation, Great Evil Beast)

The Primal Monitor is just a metaphor of the blank page nothing else. Superman Beyond is only an allegorical story about the good that overcomes evil. And the monitor Primal is only the blank page.

@alonik: The Source and the Primal Monitor are likely not the same thing. They're treated differently, with only GM in a vague dismissive interview (spacebattles explains it better) that points to it.

The Source takes this, no question. The Primal Monitor seems to be a manifestation of the Source:

In the concept map, it is stated by Mr. Morrison that the Source is the white page. In the final map, the Source is represented by the white page.

Also in the final map, the Overvoid is represented by a hooded man reading/observing/writing a book. This gives us an indication as to the nature of the Primal Monitor.

It looks like the Primal Monitor is just another incarnation of the Source itself.

The Overvoid is not the Hooded Man, the Hooded Man is Destiny of the Endless, whose book contains all of creation.
