I'm able to compile background image from the SCSS file

background: #fff url('~svgs/user-avatar.svg');

into the following in manifest.json

"_/images/svgs/user-avatar.svg": "/packs/_/images/svgs/user-avatar-123.svg"

However, the path in the compiled CSS is not replaced with the packed one (above):

enter image description here

enter image description here

What am I missing here?

  • I was doing a stupid mistake. Was not compiling the CSS including that image via Webpack, hence the image path was not resolving.
