This big lug;

...because I'm this close to putting him against DCEU Superman. It seems like he's meant to be extremely powerful but he's constantly getting his ass kicked. So far on my reread he has;

• Been saved by the Doctor, because at the speed he was flying he would "turn into a mile wide stain" when he hit a force-field


• Runs out of charge in nearly every fight


• Lacks speed feats (Flying around part of the earth in 30 seconds seems to be his best travel wise and combat speed feats basically don't exist)


• Has some good heat resistance feats (i.e swimming in lava) but is one shot by lightning in the same run


• Has no lifting feats beyond building level

I know he has some better stuff coming up (supporting part of the carrier) but in general he seems drastically overrated to be put up against people like Rulk in a battle of the week or Ultimate Thor etc. unless they're also extremely over-hyped. The only thing he has going for him is pretty severe outliers (i.e being called Majestic Class/compared to Mr Majestic, 10 Hiroshimas (Although in fairness this did cripple him and the old Doctor could have been exaggerating) on his head for a sustained period), man handling Captain Atom (and scaling from there, which would somehow make him a powerhouse in DC, which he obviously isn't)) and that's it.

Am I just expecting too much of a character that's supposedly in this tier or am I missing something?

I'll say he's high mid-tier, IMO.
