Seriously? Yamato is below beginning of Shippuden Sasuke, Groot is strong enough to hurt Thanos, crushed an enemy that held his own against Classic Silver Surfer and took Thing's blows with no damage IN A WEAKER FORM THAN THE ONE THAT FOUGHT GROOT, Groot's way too strong and durable to lose.

Yamato has other elements at his disposal, apart from wood release, he can use earth and water, and can create clones (maybe 2 max). Going with yamato (still can't picture this battle clearly though).

@amberprice: Groot is a stated genius, and pretty speedy, or at least fast enough to fight characters who have FTL combat speed. He rushed a Space Knight who was soloing an entire squadron of Nova Corps, who had just moments before had a feat where they were fighting a FTL starship through an asteroid belt and were able to gain speed on it. Groot punched the Space Knight hard enough to send him out of the planet’s orbit too. This was written by Dan Abnett, who is considered the best GotG writer there ever was too, and was the guy who re-established Groot’s place in 616.

Groot stomps tbh, very few Naruto characters stand a chance against him (nobody below kage level is giving him trouble).

Yamato has other elements at his disposal, apart from wood release, he can use earth and water, and can create clones (maybe 2 max). Going with yamato (still can't picture this battle clearly though).

@pedrolopesmateus: you do realise that you're responding to a user who hasn't been active for a year, right?
OT: Yamato takes it imo.
May I ask why

@stormshadow_x: Yamato is faster & has more arsenal in him. I mean, it's a close fight, tho, but I can see Yamato outspeeding & outsmarting Groot in the end.
