Rules

  • Morals on, in character, but Mega Man believes the X-Men are all robots (he's willing to destroy them just like he does to robots)

  • Any media is fine for Mega Man, but just don't go crazy with some of the Manga that is tough to find English translations for (little context to what is going on). So if you want to bring up something from Archie comics, or the old cartoon, that's fine, but as long as it stays pretty consistent to Mega Man, which they mostly do.

  • Standard Gear

  • Mega Man gets all of his weapons, tools, and Rush, from the first three games

  • Win by death or KO

  • Fight takes place in a generic city setting during the day, with no bystanders.

Round 1

  • Mega Man fights each X-Men in any order he chooses

  • Just say if any single X-Men could stop him

Round 2

  • Mega Man has his experience of fighting them all one on one from round 1, now he takes them all on at the same time.

I feel like even without his major powerups he can give any of them a good fight given his strength feats, durability feats, and his reaction speed. Megaman is skilled as hell. Why don't you just make a respect thread or a CAV with him? Something like this would definitely be interesting.

Edit: Oh crap i forgot about storm. Nevermind.

I agree. I think Respect Threads and CAVs are more likely to bring attention than regular VS Threads.

I've got a half complete Mega Man Respect thread that's been sitting idle for months now. Lol. I really need to finish it.

I only made this because I wanted to make a stage select screen with 8bit X-Men. Lol

Nope. Only Rock's. Maybe I'll make those threads later tonight though. I'll tag you if I do.

Missed your tag Deathhero. Ya, I don't see why this wouldn't work, or one of his other weapons.

Also, he has dodged lightning, if that's what you are wondering:

Loading Video...

What looks like random electricity shocks, is actually a controlled shock by Elec Man. This is further expanded upon in the Archie Comics, which you can see in the spoiler block below. Mega Man literally dodges electricity AFTER Elec Man shoots it at him, from literally anywhere in the environment itself. He even is able to dodge while climbing a ladder.

Gallery image 1Gallery image 2
  • Mega Man dodges electricity throughout the entirety of Elec Man's stage, and it is not just randomly fired shocks, but controlled shots from Elec Man. Elec Man is firing blindly, but there are still on target shots that Rock needs to dodge, without warning. It's not the timed patterns like in the NES game, which is just a mechanic to make the game playable.

Admittedly, I am a product of only early day MM. BUT, werent his most powerful attacks stopped by a hard hat??? I mean, even watching him break other things, cant we deduce that it was just shoddy craftsmanship that allowed him to do so? Even if those helmets were made of a very durable material, one would think they would at least be knocked off?

@ginman333: That's true, but he does have weapons that destroy those too, like crush bombs. Also, his cutter blades have been shown to slice entire air planes completely in half with a perfectly clean cut. And those hard hats are durable enough to deflect those, as well as his metal blades, which are an improvement on cutting ability over the cutter blades. The hard hats have very impressive durability, yet he still has weapons powerful enough to one shot them. Dont let the looks of a cutesy enemy fool you. This is a Japanese made game after all, where the cuter something is, usually the more impressive it is. Lol

I'd also argue the only characters as durable as that are Colosuss and Wolverine anyways.

I've got a half complete Mega Man Respect thread that's been sitting idle for months now. Lol. I really need to finish it.

I only made this because I wanted to make a stage select screen with 8bit X-Men. Lol

@tparks: Love ya bro, but even Parker the Spider Man dodges electricity. Hardly makes him lightning level speeds.

Anyway, I see only Storm really having a solid chance. Cyclopes too if he GET OF MY LAWN nonsense. Gambit could possibly win with a touch. Wolverine may win too.

No Caption Provided

Lol

I'd also argue the only characters as durable as that are Colosuss and Wolverine anyways.
