Android: Umano AndroidSlidingUpPanel overlay issue

0

I am creating a music library/player app for android.

I recently integrated umano/AndroidSlidingUpPanel for the player view which is working great other than this issue I have come across.

Initially, when the player was collapsed at the bottom of the screen, it would cover elements in the list view behind it. See below (red is the list view, green is the player):

Overlay = False

After some amount of googling I see people were having similar issues and suggested setting the overlay value to "true", which worked!

sothree:umanoOverlay="true"

However, this introduced a new problem. I now cannot slide the player back up once collapsed

Overlay = True

Am I missing something here? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Code:

MainActivity.java

activity_main.xml
