I really wish this movie wasn't happening. A Joker origin movie just feels all kinds of wrong.

This. DCEU is all over the place. It needs a solid start before it can try things like this.

This movie is going to be complete garbage and is the exact anti-thesis of Joker. Doesn't matter if it's not in the DCEU, it will cast a pall on it all the same.

That is the point. Worlds of DC was WB's formal announcement the DCEU and any form of shared connectivity between their movies was dead. DC is going back to the old way of doing things. Random solos.

They won't be able to compete with Marvel this way but it's better then nothing. The DCEU failed. Had to do something.
