Cortex on Eclipse without CMSIS Pack
I have downloaded Latest version of Eclipse, ARM build tools. But my ARM vendor details are not present in CMSIS pack. I am working on Cortex M4, the code is compiled successfully. The linker file is provided by vendor.
The issue I am facing are:
1) The DEVICE field in Project/Properties/C C++ Build/Settings is empty.
- What need to be done to get the device details.
- Only Vendor can fill up this part or programmer can do it
2) Which debugging part should I use?
- GDB Hardware debugging
- GDB open ocd debugging
- GDB J-Link debugging
Code is compiled successfully but I can't program/debug my board.
Majority of the tutorials are based on STM32.
But as my ARM Vendor doesn't have CMSIS PACK' in this case what needs to done?
eclipse arm gnu

Sounds like putting these questions to the vendor might be a good idea. But as it stands your question is impossible to answer because you don't state what device and programmer you're using.

@cooperised I am using Renesas Synergy MCU. Renesas provides E2 Studio that is license version with threadX as total pack. E2 Studio is also based on eclipse and GNU ARM, but my task is to compile, debug/program on generic eclipse ide using build tools provided by them. Compilation is done. But as there no device related information available in the IDE, I couldn't debug/program it. My querry is if CMSIS Pack doesn't include any vendor ARM MCU, in this case the developer can use the eclipse environment to create & run application or not. If it is possible then how to include device in IDE

There's always a way. But it's not at all clear what the settings would be; and in particular although you've now stated what MCU you're using, you haven't stated what development board it's on or what programming interface this has. Did you receive any documentation with the board?
