Title, several versions of Link begins their run of Dark Souls 3 instead of the Ashen One. The conditions are as follows:

  • Link begins the quest with the Master Sword as well as his iconic shield, bombs, his bow, a fire and ice rod, and his hookshot. He can loot other things along his journey however.

  • Link must follow the path of the Ashen One, from start to finish. He can use bonfires to recover his wounds along the way as well.

  • The versions used will be the Links from Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask, and finally Breath of the Wild.

  • Link will be going in blind, so he won't immediately know which boss is up ahead or where all the traps are.

  • Everyone will treat Link the same as they treat the Ashen One, so NPC's like Siegward of Catarina will befriend him and assist him in the areas they appear.

So what do you think? Can he clear the dangerous journey ahead? If you feel I missed something that makes this unfair one way or another feel free to tag me and let me know!

Link probably doesn't make it to Iudex Gundyr before giving up since he, to my knowledge, can't do that most crucial of Dark Souls moves: dodge-roll. And if he does, then Gundyr will likely stomp him into the ground because he's a jerk with a monster boogie and an halberd.
