Itachi can deal with Nagato. Nagato is very strong and all yes, but itachi can defeat those brawns with his brains. Nagato is fairly reactionary and straightforward as a fighter. Smoke bombs are the bane of his existence. Rewatch the naruto and kakashi fights during the Pain invasion arc. Itachi drops a smoke bomb. Makes shadow clone behind the smoke screen. Itachi's shadow clone charges forward through the smokescreen, while the real itachi stays hidden, while Nagato stands passively waiting for itachi's move. Itachi's shadow clone uses great clone explosion; Nagato uses shinra tensi to repel the explosion. The smoke clears after a bit. Then Nagato is suprised to see the (real itachi) standing in front of him and is caught in tsyukyomi, GG. And this didnt even require susanoo. I know for a fact this will work, because if naruto was smart enough to do this, itachi is definitely smart enough to do this. Naruto did the same thing vs Pain. Dropped a smoke bomb. has shadow clone disguised as rasenshuriken thrown through smokescreen. Nagato takes the bait and uses preta path, but it was a trap. Then nagato proceeded to get rekt by the real naruto who jumped afterward since he didnt see it coming.

Firstly, Koto isn't an eye-based genjutsu, it's not even auditory, it's a nothing-based genjutsu, The user can control the chakra pathways of the opponent purely by thought, that's why it's so dangerous and the whole ninja world wanted it & shisui put so much effort into destroying his eyes and body,etc.

Also Obito had infinite tsukuyomi and he wanted Shisui's eye & got angry when danzo destroyed it, indicating at least some sort of superiority to infinite tsukuyomi.

The Uchiha wins with mid difficulties, in addition of a 20% possibility of being around high difficulties.

I don't see the Rinnegan against 2 powerful combined types of Mangekyo Sharingan, considering the Rinnegan possess none naturalistic variations per user, the mere proposition of a broader strategical variation were the mentioned capabilities doesn't possess a real different margin of a ranked thread/level capability, the side with more strategical variations wins.

1. because yahiko is featless.. and he's weak

2. because nagato is alone LOL..

if this is nagato vs itachi or shisui (1 vs 1)

then nagato can stomp him..

remember,, edo nagato (paralyzed) can stomp KCM naruto and V2 hachibi..

and itachi can seal him because nagato even can't move, because he's leg was paralyzed.. and need combination attack from KCM naruto, Hachibi and V2 susanoo itachi to destroy Chibaku Tensei..

which mean need 3 hokage level only to defeat 1 paralyzed shinobi (edo nagato)..

so.. because nagato is alone itachi and shisui win after a hard fight

1. Its one and only feat disagrees with you (eye-to-eye contact with Itachi), and hype/conjecture aren't relevant in battle threads. Why wouldn't Itachi have just 'programmed' it to activate when it saw Sasuke rather than Itachi's eye specifically if it works the way you're saying it does? With eye contact being required it makes sense; Itachi couldn't set it to activate when it saw Sasuke's eyes because he knew Sasuke would be after EMS and transplant.


2. Ehh yes and no. Obito didn't "have" infinite tsukuyomi readily available. That requires rinne-sharingan which requires either being an Otsutsuki or controlling Juubi. I don't disagree that Koto is the strongest sharingan genjutsu, but it's clearly not in the same league as IT. I hear people say IT is just Tsukuyomi on a larger scale but that's illogical. They're similar in that they both control time and space, but do you think beginning of Shippuden Sasuke would break out of IT? Not a chance. Obito wanted Koto because it would be a huge asset to help him achieve IT.

Shisui is featless and rinnegan is far more powerful than the sharingan and can see through all genjutsu, Yahiko is fodder and Shisui is a non factor so this fight is between Itachi and Nagato

Without genjutsu Nagato easily wins. Kabuto said himself Nagato was the second strongest shinobi he reincarnated after Madara, though I could be wrong about that so lemme find scans
