Poll: Is Gambit & Rogue pairing the X-men's #1 Top X-men pairing? (21 votes)
Absolutely! That's why they're called Mr. and Mrs. X and the name of their ongoing comics as a pair 48%
I still believe in Cyclops & Jean Grey pairing. The first X-men student and the first female X-men member 33%
Storm & Wolverine pairing. Great chemistry. The most popular male and female X-men. 14%
So are Gambit and Rogue the top pairing in the X-men universe? I would say yes and the X-men staff are making them the top pairing that's why they're called Mr and Mrs X and they have their own ongoing solo as a couple! :)
Storm and Wolverine pairing will still be my favorite x-men pairing though. :)

Cyclops and Emma to me are X-men #1 pairing. They are the true Mrs. X and Mr. X. Like someone else said I preferred Magneto and Rogue to Gambit and Rogue. Rogue and Gambit isn't bad but there isn't much there to remember storywise.

I am not fond with Scott and Jean being an item personally. (As many know) Thankfully, neither can stay alive long enough for the other to come back to life to be with them.
Rogue and Gambit being together makes them the top pairing now.

Jean and Scott for sure.
This is a romance that has been destroyed and denigrated in every possible way for years but their Legacy is so huge, they are still a huge part of each other's character. This is why Marvel had to kill Jean and now Cyclops.
Specially because they have some of the best X-men stories of all time. Can someone even imagine any other romance getting a huge classic like the Dark phoenix saga? i don't think it's even possible at this stage. people remember Scemma in a better light because it was more recent and has been treated better than Jean/Scott (which are now a distant memory of a romance that didn't work thanks to Morrison's butchery) but no other romance has half the stories that Scott and Jean had, it's a romance that started from the very start of the X-books and sure as hell will be there when they end. A romance that grew up as they did as characters and in age. Star crossed lovers, fated love birds, the couple that grew up together, husband and wife, mom and dad, the love of each other lives and even exes.
No other romance has reach further or fallen that hard. No other has integrated things like time travel or death.

@xwasright: 1) Considering the Cuckoos directed that quote to Quentin, it’s validated.
2) I still feel from my perspective that the marriage is null when one of them dies, because you can’t have a relationship without the other person. Whether they want to be celibates is their decision of course, but it isn’t wrong if they decide to look for someone new. I’m just gonna ignore the rewrite and stick the original, “ ‘till death do you part” line.
3) Lucky for him, Rosenberg saw that all the drama is insignificant in comparison to another persons life and how a person would react if their loved one came back to life. I agree with that, which makes me feel a lot better about Jean forgiving Scott. I still don’t think Jean should dive into a relationship with Scott, if only in fairness to Jean. Not that I want her in a relationship now, but eventually, I think I’d want writers to tackle the issue of Jean dating again, how she feels about the prospect of finding someone new. Then make a decision of celibacy or going for new relationships. (Not wait for Scott to inevitably come back to life like hopesummersforthefuture hopes. That’s unrealistic)

Not so in to the chemistry of Storm / Wolvie though.

And, they changed it? Those sneaky bastards. Well, Scott sure was faithful throughout Jeans death. Right Emma?!

Yeah, I had a good laugh that time you guys were discussing if resurrection voids till death do us part.

I didn't say they're pretty, what I meant was, you know, pot calling the kettle black.
And, they changed it? Those sneaky bastards.
Yeah, I had a good laugh that time you guys were discussing if resurrection voids till death do us part.

Well, Scott sure was faithful throughout Jeans death. Right Emma?!
Yeah, would make for a good ménage à trois.

Me too. :/.
I've always liked the Rogue & Gambit relationship.
But Scott and Jean got on my nerves, and I never really liked the Logan/Ororo pairing.

Jean and Scott for sure.

@grimaldus3924: Funny though, they had the foresight to change the marriage vows to through death and through life rather till death do us part.

@xwasright: I agree their pretty, but does them being a “fine lot” have to do with anything. :P
And, they changed it? Those sneaky bastards. Well, Scott sure was faithful throughout Jeans death. Right Emma?!

I didn't say they're pretty, what I meant was, you know, pot calling the kettle black.
And, they changed it? Those sneaky bastards.
Yeah, I had a good laugh that time you guys were discussing if resurrection voids till death do us part.

Yeah, would make for a good ménage à trois.

@xwasright: Whoops, I do that all the time where I prep my spacing and accidentally leave an empty numerical point. I will edit that.

I've always liked the Rogue & Gambit relationship.
But Scott and Jean got on my nerves, and I never really liked the Logan/Ororo pairing.
