Avengers assemble.

Don’t know why people seem like love Thor punking Thanos, but hate Superman picking Steppenwolf.

Superman made the entire Justice League irrelevant. He doesn't need them. The same can't be said for Thor.

This needs to go to Gen. Discussion.

OT: The first time the Avengers assembled.

Arrival at Wakanda.

1. Thor had a specifically plot designed Weapon, Superman did not

2. it was originally shown Thanos> Thor, Thor just got a better weapon. it was never even close to that for Superman, not to mention Thor went through the whole sacrifice nothing to lose storyline

3. 3 other avengers actively made Thanos exert himself to beat them, none of the league lasted more than 30 seconds in a 1 on 1 against Wolf except Superman who no sold everything he did and then fodderized him

4. Thor still lost

Avengers no comparison

First the movie already showed that Thanos is stronger and more powerful than regular Thor. Thor had to go forge a weapon in order to defeat Thanos. Superman on the other hand made Steppenwolf look like a complete child at all levels.

More importantly Thor had extreme emotional motivation to defeat Thanos. Convincing the audience. It's like if Steppenwolf had beaten up Superman at the beginning of the movie and murdered Lois and Martha. Than Superman went and sundipped soaking in solar radiation to make himself more powerful. And finally returned and beat Steppenwolf. I doubt anyone would complain if that happened.

A thread about 2 great Mcu moments and people still try to compare this to the Dceu for no reason other than to start an irrelevant argument.

The DCEU fanbase is a cancer.

Avengers Assemble is just more epic in every way.
