-Natasha can Match May while Oliver Beats Ward

Ward won't beat either Natasha or Oliver. He has no advantages with Oliver and only a small strength advantage with Natasha. Either Natasha or Oliver can fight May while the other beats Ward, and then May loses too. Ward lost to Bobbi, May, and Coulson, he doesn't have the best track record fighting people like that.

His hands were tied together in that fight though.

And he had been shot twice right before that.

The fact that he still gave Coulson such a tough fight suggests that he'd curbstomp him under optimal conditions.

Arrow spanks either. And Widow could give both a decent fight.

I don't know how legit of an excuse that is. Ward literally did not even react to being shot one time. All elite fighters fight through pain, it doesn't necessarily slow them down.

May fought with a torn quad, MCU Punisher fights through gunshots and stab wounds without slowing down, Green Arrow fights with stab wounds and arrow wounds, DCEU Batman fights through stab wounds, Bobbi was tortured for hours and still fought at a high level, Daisy fought with damaged arms, MCU Daredevil fights through severe cuts and deep knife wounds and broken ribs, MCU Stick literally cut off his own hand and still escaped Elektra, and there are probably many, many more instances I am missing.

But the MCU ones are the most important since that is where Ward is. Given Ward's own pain tolerance, and the scaling from Frank and DD and Bobbi and May, I don't think being shot is a good excuse. If anything, it would prove that his pain tolerance is bad. Don't underrate Coulson either, he gave Agent 33 a great fight, and she gave May one herself. He would not be easy for Ward to beat based on that.

@jayc1324: Sure, but it's also not like Ward fought at his best. Having your hands bound together at the wrists is a massive handicap all on its own, and being shot twice doesn't help. Given their respective portrayals, how good Ward's intended to be in comparison to May, etc. I think it's fair to say that Coulson wouldn't fare well against a perfectly healthy Ward. Pretty much everyone you've mentioned has been shot/injured and has been slowed down significantly by it except DCEU Bruce due to his Batsuit.

When Oliver was shot in a similar area to Ward, he was in no shape to get up and continue fighting after several minutes (Moira's kill attempt on him). He was also in much more pain after Constantine Drakon shot him.

May's torn quad prevented her from solidly beating people she'd normally stomp, and she was tagged by fodder even though she usually never gets tagged by fodder.

Matt's injuries sustained at the hands of Nobu got him manhandled by Fisk.

Frank moved much more sluggishly than usual after his torture at the hands of the Kitchen Irish mob. He was also destroyed by Fisk (giving him a far worse fight than S1 Daredevil did) when he was injured and bound at the wrists.

The list goes on.

And Ward was shot twice. It's really not a bad showing for him imo. If he fought at his best, I think it's a no-brainer that he'd beat Coulson. We've already seen that Ward can pretty much beat May in pure h2h due to his combination of physicals and skill.

Nat and Ollie, but barely.
