This is ridiculous spite. Even Gai would get wrecked by Sasuke (chapter 699) let alone The Last Sasuke where he effortlessly blew up a village size meteor with a mere chidori (which in fact dwarfed the meteor it blew up). Lee isn't even on Gai's level, so it just makes it that much greater a stomp.
