Round 1 and 2 to T'Challa. The mountain is incredibly slow. He gets danced around and shanked by any relatively fast and sufficiently skilled character.
Round 3 T'Challa gets his head squished. I give him an outside chance of landing a submission.

The Mountain may be slower than T'Challa, but he's over a foot taller and wielding a greatsword. The reach advantage is enormous. And there are really only a handful of weakspots in the armour whereas Gregor wins with any clean blow.
Doubt he can get Gregor into a submission hold tbh, he's significantly stronger than M'Baku.

I would feel slightly better about T'Challa's chances if he had a spear like Oberyn but I rewatched the Mountain-Red Viper fight and I was struck by how slow and clumsy the Mountain looked. M'Baku's swings were lightning fast by comparison and T'Challa was able to dodge several of them. I'm confident T'Challa can get inside his guard and deliver a lethal blow.
You're probably right about the submission. It's a remote possibility he could get him into an armbar or choke, but Gregor could probably power out of it.

I think that might be a lot to do with the weapon of choice, a heavy greatsword + momentum + Gregor's own strength means when Oberyn dodged the blows with such speed, often at the last second, Gregor could do nothing but follow through with the blows which could made him look clumsy. M'Baku on the other hand was wielding a far lighter weapon, usually with both hands, granting superior dexterity and control over his weapon, but his range was also massively inferior and he could not one-shot. It's worth noting that when T'Challa broke into M'Baku's space he became trapped quite quickly, though he was unarmed by that point IIRC.
Not saying T'Challa can't win, but M'Baku and Gregor are very different fights, even if on the face of it they're both tankish characters on the surface.

@rogueshadow: That's a good point about the difference in weapons and reach. If T'Challa gets hit with the broadsword it's a wrap. But if Gregor overextends himself he leaves himself open for attack as well, and T'Challa won't gloat like Oberyn, who could have ended the fight at any moment.
T'Challa was disarmed once he got inside M'Baku's reach, by the way.

I don't see the same amount of speed, agility, and finesse in herbless T'Challa that Oberyn had.
I'd say Gregor all 3 rounds.

@rogueshadow: @kingofwakanda: I want to bring something up about the Obreyn fight. Remember, Gregor managed to break his spear in that fight. In a random encounter, you're not going to have someone hand you a new spear. Gregor wasn't that slow, he was actually pretty skilled as well as he did dodge and strife out of the way of a bunch of spear thrusts as well.

I say T'Challa wins round 1 because he is faster, agile and lighter than Gregor. No armor means Gregor goes down eventually, if T'Challa fights smart and gets in close.
I don't see T'Challa winning rounds 2 & 3.

Round 1 and 2 to T'Challa. The mountain is incredibly slow. He gets danced around and shanked by any relatively fast and sufficiently skilled character.
Round 3 T'Challa gets his head squished. I give him an outside chance of landing a submission.
