I know versions of this have been done, but figured could use an updated version. So when these two martial arts masters do battle, who will win?

Fight takes place in the streets of Seattle. Time is twilight. Starting distance is 20 feet

Both are in character. Victory by ko

Round 1:

New 52/Rebirth versions only

Dinah is depowered

Both are unarmed

Round 2:

New 52/Rebirth versions only

Dinah has the Cry

Dick has his full gear and knowledge about the Cry

Round 3:

Composite pre-New 52 and New 52/Rebirth versions

Both are unarmed

Dinah is depowered

Who wins?

Nightwing wins one and three. Round two goes either way.

Canary Cry could oneshot but Dick could probably see her going for it and just hit her in the throat or something.

Round 1 and 3: Nightwing wins in a decent fight.

Round 2: I see Black Canary winning unless Dick can prevent her from screaming.

Any reasons?

By statements Dinah should win, but by feats, Dick.

What the oher gentlemen said. Round 2 is tricky. It could go either way.

Pre 52 Grayson and Dinah( without the cry) would be a good fight. I see Grayson winning more often than not

The newer versions Im not so familiar with especially Canary

Pre-reboot Canary was supposed to be one of the best fighters on the DCU, going toe-to-toe against Shiva. Even without her power she would decimate Dick.

Post-reboot is closer and I don't think DC has really played up BC's h2h skills to amazing degrees like before. I'd give it to Dick even with Canary Cry.

Except that she didn't really go toe-to-toe or rivaled Shiva. Shiva is quite a bit above her as she is above Dick. I wouldn't quite use her as a measuring stick for this fight.

It's pretty close. I'm pretty sure Dinah has much more potential than what they give her... I'd say it's a stalemate...

Even with knowledge, she could give her canary cry and hit a building... and that building lands on him...

you could look for her feats, stats, reputation and statements... even Bertinelli said Dinah is better at sparring than Dick (tho sparring is sparring, but statement is valid)... she also was once able to make a move on Heavy hitters like Black Alice and Black Adam, and she single handily took down Cheshire without too much trouble more than once...
