"The Batman" is finally moving forward.

However, it reportedly won't be filming until after Birds of Prey and The Flash. Here's what we know about the movie so far:

- It's set in the DCEU's past

- It will feature a younger Batman, but won't be an origin story

- Matt Reeves will write and direct

- Ben Affleck will produce, but not act in it

No really, that's been a concern of mine looking into the show. In fact, I believe I've said before that one of the best ideas for a franchise in the DCEU/WoDC would be a Green Arrow that is true to the comics.

He looks like a really fun character and one of DC's very classic ones, it'd be cool to see some more light-hearted, but still properly dark and serious, archer-ish action that focuses on storylines directly coming from Queen's comicbooks. Instead of you know who's.

@anthp2000: Yeah, I mean other then Merlyn(Who they've used) and Brick(Who I don't think they have), Green Arrow's most famous villain is probably Constantine Drakon, who was a cameo in S1, but nothing more. I think that if the DCEU uses him more lightheartedly like JLU did, they can separate him enough from Batman/CW Arrow.

If we're going to keep murderous angry Batman for reasons We can have a story placing Batman in Azreal's shoes during the Post Knightfall era

Checkmate would make excellent use of Amanda Waller as a low key advertising for SS2 while being entertaining having Batman really not dig the idea of a new suicide Squad operating in his city

There's a lot of ideas they can use but let's not kid ourselves they're just gonna write in the Joker -_- Just anything but being a 2 hour Apology for BVS please.

Both of those would work. And being stories from the modern era of DC would make for something whole new in the big screen. The classic Batman stories have been explored, again and again, in every material.

I definitely don't want another Joker story though, he might turn out overused.

Dick would be a great fit for WoDC. But I think they should give him a solo before anything else.

Well, it was only Zack's intention for Grayson to be dead. They could just say that the suit belonged to Jason Todd like we all thought.

It should be about Batman and Jason Todd and have Dick Grayson as nightwing. It should be about the dynamic between the dynamic duo. Have the joker as the villain and put jared leto into a position to redeem himself.

It shouldnt be uneer the red hood either it should be about the events leading up to jason todds death. They showed his suit in bvs. Itd be a cool tie in.
