Green Lantern John Stewart takes on the DC version of Captain Marvel. Fight will have two rounds, both of which take place in Metropolis.

Round 1: Post-Crisis, Pre-New 52 versions, Billy is not the caretaker of the RoE.

Round 1: I would put John firmly above Superman/Captain Marvel tier. He's more versatile and has more ways to win over Billy, whereas Billy is top-tier strength, speed, durability and striking power (enough to shatter Felix Faust's magical shield); John simply has better feats with the ring.

Round 2: Toss up. Though Billy matched Superman in a brutal fight.

@dorukesin: Fair point, but again, that was a bloodlusted John. Does Billy have any feats that have him against a lot of other superhumans? Or any bloodlusted feats? I'd be interested in seeing them.

Black Adam actually fought most of DC's heroes, including multiple Lanterns (John Stewart being one of them).

@frozen: BA and CM aren't always equals though.

Regardless, Captain Marvel was able to hold his own against bloodlusted Justice League members including Wonder Woman (plus he seemed to be holding back to a degree) which I would judge to be at least as impressive as a bloodlusted John decimating a morals on League. So they seem pretty close going by that.
