reactJS running local vs hosting on Amazon Web Services

I have a reactJS application that I run locally by opening a command prompt and entering the following command line command

npm start

This is what I see in the command prompt after hitting Enter:

sample-app@1.0.0 start c:jrsAccu_01React
webpack-dev-server --open

Project is running at http://localhost:8080/
webpack output is served from /
Content not from webpack is served from
c:jrsAccu_01Reactpublic
404s will fallback to /index.html
webpack: wait until bundle finished: /

At this point, a browser is opened to localhost:8080 and I see the login page of my application. This is all good.

Now I want to deploy my application to a Amazon web services. I have developed web services with Visual Studio 2015 and I use a plug in to build and deploy directly to AWS from within Visual Studio 2015 so I dont need to do anything other than press the button to deploy.

Is there a plug in somewhere for Visual Studio Code that will allow me to deploy this application to AWS or do I need to deploy manually? And if manually, what steps do I need to take?

Thanks
