Starting a connection with Qt/QTcpSocket package in Python

0

I've read through http://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qtnetwork-programming.html, but I'm still not sure how I can start a connection with an IP address and a port via Qt. For the socket package in python a connection looks like this

import socket

TCP_IP = '127.0.0.1'
TCP_PORT = 5005
BUFFER_SIZE = 1024
MESSAGE = "Hello, World!"

s = socket.socket(socket.AF_INET, socket.SOCK_STREAM)
s.connect((TCP_IP, TCP_PORT))
s.send(MESSAGE)

How can I do the same with Qt?

    Check the Qt examples. There are plenty and they are extensivly documented: doc.qt.io/qt-5/examples-network.html. I would recommend having a look at the Fortune Client Example
