Good, But Not As Amazing As All the Hype

I was never a Deadpool fan. The character first appeared around the time I stopped regularly reading comics. I was attending college and had less time and money, and I wasn't crazy about the way mainstream superhero comics (and especially The New Mutants, which I was collecting at the time) were moving in the 1990s into an area of style over substance, and super exaggerated, super busy-looking art of the Todd McFarlane / Jim Lee / Rob Liefield variety. Character representation over exploitation

My title may seem a bit harsh but in previous super hero films, whether they be DC, Marvel or a third-party, often fall short on accurate character representation and essentially bringing to life a character from the comic pages; with respect this can be difficult but not impossible. Deadpool has done what few movies have done in that it doesn't attempt to take a character and shape said character to fit the common movie audience view of what a super hero should be but rather works a comic book...
