The Venom movie isn't part of the MCU.

Well, I can't say that for sure. Sony apparently wants the character to "crossover" with the MCU someday? I know, it's extremely confusing. However, here's what my idea for an MCU-set Venom movie would have been.

Released in 2019

Look, this makes sense.

If a Venom movie were in the MCU, it probably shouldn't take place until after Avengers 4 and Spider-Man: Far From Home. Releasing it in 2018 would be confusing, while it would make much more sense to release it in 2019.

A younger actor as Venom

Since Peter Parker is a teen, it makes sense to make Eddie only slightly older than his friend-turned-foe. My choices for a younger actor would be either Will Poulter or Taron Egerton. Either of those actors are fairly young and play a good dark, gritty character.

It would feature Spider-Man

Yes, this movie would heavily involve Spider-Man and focus on Eddie's hatred of the wall-crawler.

Harry Osborn as the main villain

My ideal MCU origin for Venom would connect the symbiote to Oscorp, and Peter/Spider-Man will have already fought and (seemingly) killed Norman Osborn/Green Goblin early in his career.

I would like to see them try to adapt the idea of the symbiote god from the most recent run.
