How to process an image and extract textual info?
I'm looking to update an object model based on an image I provide. The image would have text and numbers, with text being keys and numbers being values.
I would like to map these key/value pairs to update my object model on the basis of the contents of the picture. The text (keys) will be constant but the numbers (values) would change based on image provided.
How would I best approach this at a high level? Im thinking a neural network to process the image and train it over 1000s of examples and cross validating it. Are there any other tools/technologies that can be useful in this process?
